Francine Rachelle Art
Pet Portrait & Wildlife Artist
My passion and love of the arts began at the young age of 12. As I was literally untalented with any sports, I concentrated my efforts towards what ignited me : being creative! I followed my passion for the arts through high school and then on to fashion design school.
Then life happened, I met my husband, got married and before you know it, I had my son. Being busy with motherhood but still craving some creativity, I spent a few years experimenting with different mediums such as pastels, oil paints and acrylics. I also taught drawing and painting for a couple of years.
My love of nature and animals has always been a huge part of my life. I began creating pet portraits for family and friends and this rapidly turned into a passion. I discovered that I love to be able to eternally capture the essence and memory of a cherished pet through my artwork. And no words can describe how happy this makes the owners. I love discovering wonderful pets and character details, including funny stories.
I work from a studio in my home in Ontario, Canada. In between commission, I like to create wildlife artworks. When I am not in my studio, you can find me out on nature walks, baking or working in my garden. I like early quiet mornings, the first snowfall of the season and the night sky.
